Founded by Jennifer Aucoin, The Canada Salsa and Bachata Congress is the the largest and longest running Latin Dance event in Canada, attracting over 5000 guests from across Canada and around the world. The event has run for 16 years, and we are currently planning for the 17th Annual Congress that will take place this October 10th - 14th at Toronto's prestigious Fairmont Royal York Hotel for four nights of performances and four days of dance and professional development workshops. The event features world-renowned performers and instructors who hail from Puerto Rico, Colombia, Mexico, Cuba, Chile, Italy, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Boston, Philadelphia, and across Canada. All of the events – workshops, performances, parties, trade show, accommodations –take place under one roof at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel, providing constant day and night exposure for partners and vendors. The Canada Salsa & Bachata Congress is also host to the Canadian Salsa Championships. This official qualifying competition will send the first place winners in the professional division to represent Canada at the 2020 World Salsa Summit in Miami Florida, January 2020.
