Diversity is at the forefront. A core vision of Moriah Pictures is casting diverse actors to play leading roles. As a child, Nathaniel craved heroes that looked and sounded like his Latino family, and nowadays, our hearts ache at the segregation that still exists in society. We don't want to carry on the evils of a segregated past by limiting what parts different races can play in the arts. We believe being intentional about this now will help future generations to cast diversely without even thinking about it. Our next passion is story. Aristotle's Poetics breaks story down into six key parts: plot, character, idea, dialogue, sound and spectacle. The order is important– each part should serve the one that comes before. Modern storytelling tends to put spectacle first, but we agree with the old philosopher (who empowered Alexander the Great to take over the world!). Everything good begins with a good story.
