Transportation Corridor Agencies (TCA)

www.thetollroads.com

The Transportation Corridor Agencies (TCA) oversees the planning, financing, construction and operation of the largest toll road network in California. Together the Foothill/Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency and the San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor Agency make up TCA; two joint powers authorities formed by the California legislature in 1986 to operate the 67-mile public toll road system. Currently, 51 miles of toll roads have been completed, including State Routes 73, 133, 241 and 261. For the past 20 years The Toll Roads have provided drivers with congestion free alternatives to local freeways. Our staff reports to two Boards of Directors comprised of elected official from 18-member cities and three members of the Orange County Board of Supervisors. We work every day to provide a time-saving and reliable alternative to Southern California’s congested freeways. If you love driving The Toll Roads, you’ll love working at The Toll Roads. But TCA does more than just operate The Toll Roads. For more than a quarter century, TCA has developed extensive environmental programs to balance construction of our roads. Our environmental initiatives have preserved scenic beauty and healthy ecosystems while building sustainable transportation solutions. To date, TCA has conserved and restored over 2,000 acres of coastal sage scrub, wetlands, riparian and saltwater marsh at 17 different Orange County locations.
