Blue Goose Biorefineries Inc
www.bluegoosebiorefineries.comBlue Goose Biorefineries Inc. is an early stage technology company primarily focused on cellulose nanocrystals (CNC) production via biorefining lignocellulosic biomass. The BGB process is a Green Chemistry based oxidative, nanocatalytic process with mild reaction conditions. The final product, via our green chemistry based process, is a non-sulphonated, lightly carboxylated CNC. In addition to being environmentally accountable, our process is both commercially scalable and cost competitive when compared with traditional acid hydrolysis methods for producing CNC. Research concerning CNC characterization and applications has dramatically increased, stimulating innovative implementations of CNC. In addition to being inherently renewable and sustainable with a limited environmental footprint, CNC has unique and advantageous properties for commercial applications. Potential applications of CNC include: rheology modifiers; reinforcement for polymer materials; barrier films; optical films or coatings; CNC-hybrid composites; CNC foams and aerogels; and CNC continuous fibers. BGB does not impose any restrictions or encumbrances on the intellectual property (IP) garnered from your research. Blue Goose Biorefineries: (Overview) Privately held Canadian company commercializing its R3TM technology Operates a pilot plant in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada Producing 35 kg/week of CNC Offers CNC to interested parties without Intellectual Property restrictions Collaborates with parties developing market applications for CNC
