NYGA's guitar program teaches acoustic, classical and electric guitar. We introduce students to all different styles of music, allowing them to get a well-rounded sense of the many ways to play guitar. In each course students will learn to play the acoustic, classical and/or the electric guitar using their fingers and a plectrum for strumming and picking via Classical, Flamenco/Spanish, World and popular music such as Rock/Blues. Students will be taught aurally as well as visually to allow them to develop their listening, reading and remembrance skills.
