The Friends of CHaT Parks is a community group who formed to preserve the heritage of Clarence, Holmfield and Thornes parks and make positive plans for the future. We hold public meetings to discuss the different aspects of the parks that need attention and update on our progress. We have several projects on the go to enhance the parks including bedding plants and trees, renovation and maintenance to buildings, signage and a secret garden to name a few. When the weather is pleasant enough we hold litter picks and other events in the parks. The Group is open to anyone who shares our aims. Annual membership costs just £5 per year for an individual or £10 for a family. We are always looking for volunteers or those who wish to use their professional skills. The Friends group is run by a team of dedicated executive members who meet regularly to discuss and plan the progress for the group and organise the activities. Everyone volunteers their time and efforts to protect and preserve the parks and make a positive contribution to the community.
