The Alternative is a night of worship that gathers once a month in Newnan, Georgia. After a season of rest, The Alternative relaunched in January of 2017. 300+ showed up, but by August of that same year, more than 1500 people were lining up to see what God was doing. The Alternative is for a multi-denominational, multi-cultural, multi-generational, Gospel centered gathering. Our goal is to lift the name of Jesus. Our next gathering is at Unity Baptist Church, 311 Smokey Road, Newnan Georgia. 2.24.18. 7PM. AWAKENING DREAMS. We believe that everyone has been given a dream—not just a grand idea to change the world, but a personal dream. Maybe it’s to lead people, to raise a family, to really follow God. Whatever that dream is - we desire to foster a community that inspires people and gives them the courage to dream again. UNITING COMMUNITIES. We live in a divided time. Between people’s political stances, religious affiliations, and racial backgrounds, we are in desperate need of unity. We believe that Jesus came to give us the opportunity for a relationship. Through that opportunity we unite races, denominations, and communities under the name of Jesus. AMPLIFYING HOPE. Suicide rates are climbing, people are struggling and we all need hope. We believe that what Jesus did thousands of years ago is enough to give us hope. Finding that hope, we can live a life full of purpose again.
