Model WTO Edinburgh is a student organization under the Edinburgh University Students’ Association. Model WTO Edinburgh is also part of Model WTO International, is the biggest platform in the world for finding Conferences and Simulations of the World Trade Organization and International Trade. Our goal is to spread the word about the importance of International Trade and its regulations as well as to provide all participants with a platform to network and even jumpstart their careers. By enabling students from around the world to join the different regional conferences of WTO Models, Model WTO International aims to create an environment in which these can develop their knowledge, public speaking and negotiation skills. To achieve this, Model WTO International tries to use the four pillars of the organization to achieve the most encompassing results. Edinburgh Model World Trade Organisation Society is thus a daughter conference under the umbrella of Model WTO International, giving us access to professionals within the WTO. Model WTO International will support Model WTO Edinburgh to the extent to which the latter has enough liberty to adapt organizational structures and standards to the regulations and requirements of their environment, whilst ensuring that the outcome is in accordance with the quality standards determined by Model WTO International, and respect any rules imposed by the World Trade Organisation on issues regarding proper conduct.
