Our mission: to provide sustainable and high achieving musical education by offering tuition-free instrumental music programming during the school day. Our goal is to produce music programs that are uniquely involved with creating and establishing strong school cultures. The program starts in first-grade and students will be kept on track through eighth grade. MUSIC Inc. works with the school on an individual level to create a goal orientated application process. School administrators, teachers and families will work together to help students meet their goals. In addition, goals will continue to be monitored for each participating student and proper intervention will be provided to help keep all the students on track. MUSIC Inc, in conjunction with KIPP Ascend Primary, began in 2011 with a pilot program for twenty-five first graders. A generous donation of 30 violins from Fritz Reuter of Chicago allowed each eligible student to have their own instrument for at home practice. We have expanded the program each year and we currently serve 175 students ages 7-10.
