Giving the Basics is a Kansas City's hygiene hub dedicated to helping meet the human dignity needs of the poor in Kansas City. Our mission began because we realized that hygiene items are not covered by government assistance. We supply things like soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, razors, feminine products and toilet paper to 90 registered organizations and 228 schools throughout the Kansas City Metro area. With our products, adults can maintain human dignity, stabilize their family, gain employment, and school children can be comfortable in the learning environment, and are not pushed out, left our or bullied. We track the need on a monthly basis to keep our distribution effective and efficient. Giving the Basics changes lives, one tube of toothpaste, one bar of soap, one stick of deodorant; one hygiene items at a time! Come help us!! come have fun providing dignity!
