Young Entrepreneurs Club
www.theyoungentrepreneursclub.comWHAT IS THE YEC? The Young Entrepreneurs Club, founded July 2016 by a former foster youth serving homeless, at-risk and foster youth through service opportunities and entrepreneurial education. Our team has made it a mission to tackle the three most undermining threats to the success of underprivileged youth both here in America, and across the world: Unaddressed disempowerment among the youth. A lack of proper vicarious training and support among youth advocates. The desperate need for a unified voice within the foster, at risk, and homeless care communities. We’ve created an open source curriculum, worked with a pilot classroom, developed 26 partnerships in 3 location, and have taken steps to implement our program in the public schools in both Maricopa County, AZ and Whatcom County, WA over the next year. “We help at risk, homeless, and foster youth — ages 8-18 — find empowerment through service and entrepreneurship. If you can take a kid from 4 days without food, to being able to feed someone who wouldn't eat without their help — There’s nothing more empowering!” Since July 2016, we have launched the YEC from idea to completing our first service project with foster youth, engaged a Board, and acquired funding from several sources.
