Buidheann-taic nam Fèisean a' toirt ar dualchais do ar n-òigridh Fèisean support organisation Fèisean nan Gàidheal was established in 1991 as the independent umbrella association of the Fèis movement. It is a membership organisation that offers a range of services to its members including grant-aid, training, insurance, and instrument loans. Fèisean nan Gàidheal is a company limited by guarantee, registered number SC130071. It is a Scottish Charity, number SC002040, funded by Creative Scotland, Bòrd na Gàidhlig, The Highland Council and Highlands & Islands Enterprise. Around 13,000 young people annually participate in activities supported by Fèisean nan Gaidheal, 6,300 of which take part in the Fèisean themselves. Around 4,800 take part in Youth Music Initiative classes organised by local Fèisean, through a contract with The Highland Council. Fèisean nan Gàidheal continues to support the Meanbh-chuileag Theatre Company, which tours schools with plays focussing on Gaelic culture and history, from which around 2,000 benefit. Fèisean nan Gàidheal is also responsible for the running of the Blas Festival, in partnership with the Highland Council and the Promoters’ Arts Network, and also supports Fèisean that organise Cèilidh Trails which play to around 10,000 people annually.
