monomo was founded in 2003 by Kate Bowden and Felix Goetz. The studio focused primarily on online services, particularly e-learning applications. monomo was a full service company in providing all design and development stages: from the ideation to the conceptional stage and from the design stage to the technical implementation. By this complete offering, monomo was able to work with an holistic approach and apply very high standards in regards to usability, accessibility and an all encompassing user experience. Later on monomo broadened its approach to e-commerce applications and specialist media applications. The specialist work draw particular attention from institutions like Cambridge University, the BBC and the Fraunhofer Institute. In 2010 the founders decided to engage in new projects.
