www.harmonyinnature.ukHarmony In Nature is run by Katie Robinson & Joanna Bristow-Watkins; both experienced & insured Forest Bathing+ Guides licensed by The Forest Bathing Institute (TFBI). Based in Surrey, they offer public sessions usually lasting 2hrs+ (from £30pp), following government guidelines. Private bookings from £250 & Corporate from £600. Join us for an inspirational Forest Bathing+ session in local ancient woodlands. Calming, peaceful, yet intensely powerful, you’ll move slowly through a sequence of sensory & meditational activities that lead to an enhanced state of mindfulness & reconnection with nature. Forest Bathing+ Forest Bathing comes from the Japanese ‘Shinrin Yoku’, the process of immersing ourselves under a canopy of trees. Developed to mitigate high levels of stress experienced by businessmen in crowded urban environments, it combines mindfulness, meditation & gentle exercise within an ambient forest location. Ancient civilisations frequently venerated nature, gaining insight & wisdom from their relationship with the natural world. Even though society is now more disconnected from the countryside, research supports the physiological benefits of Forest Bathing. Trees emit essential oils known as ‘phytoncides’ - proven to evoke relaxation & wellbeing. By immersing ourselves in ancient woodlands, we re-connect with nature & reinforce this relationship with the natural world. TFBI has added enhanced sensory exercises & deep meditations to create Forest Bathing+, which helps promote mindfulness, reconnecting your body & mind to nature. Evidence suggests that Forest Bathing + can: • lower blood pressure, • decrease stress, • improve cardiovascular & metabolic health, • reduce blood-sugar levels, • enhance concentration and memory, • lift depression, • lead to better pain management, • increase energy, • boost the immune system by increasing the body’s natural killer (NK) cell count, • increases anti-cancer protein production, • facilitate weight loss.
