METRO LOGISTICS is an independent logistics company which, in addition of procurement, distribution, and contract logistics services , also offers a wide range of value added services. The company created a logistics network for METRO that optimally serves the highly dynamic and complex processes. METRO LOGISTICS operates nine multi-user logistics centers of its own at geographically optimally located hubs in Germany as well as a dense distribution network with its own fleet of trucks. The company will continue to be in charge of the German warehousing operations and outbound logistics of METRO and manage the procurement logistics in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. METRO LOGISTICS has a workforce of currently about 2,000 employees and is active throughout Germany.
