Me v PMDD, Inc.
www.mevpmdd.comMe v PMDD, Inc. was founded in May of 2017 by Brett and Sheila Buchert. After Brett's 10 year battle with PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder), Brett and her mother decided there had to be an easier way to track symptoms, seek support and empowerment. Thus Me v PMDD was born. Me v PMDD is a PMDD symptom tracking app that is geared to help women with PMDD take back control over their cycles, their symptoms, themselves, made in partnership with the Gia Allemand Foundation for PMDD. The app will be available for iOS and Android late September, 2017. Visit www.mevpmdd.com to sign up now for app updates! At Me v PMDD, Inc. we believe: 1. Knowledge is power. Knowing yourself and how PMDD affects you, empowers you to focus on what you can control in your life so it’s the best it can be, even with PMDD. 2. A movement is growing. Me v PMDD stands as a pivotal player in the movement of awareness and acceptance of PMDD as a debilitating and sometimes life-threatening condition. This movement will influence more research, better treatment, and maybe even a cure. 3. You can do it! Women, especially us fighting PMDD every day, are strong, on our own, and even more powerful together. It’s Me v PMDD. It’s You v PMDD. It’s We v PMDD. Together, We Can Do It! What is PMDD? ~According to the Gia Allemand Foundation for PMDD, "Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder is is a cyclical, hormone-based mood disorder with symptoms arising during the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle and lasting until the onset of menstrual flow. It affects an estimated 2-10% of women of reproductive age. While PMDD is directly connected to a woman’s menstrual cycle, it is not a hormone disorder. It is a suspected genetic disorder with symptoms often worsening over time and following reproductive events including menarche, ovulation, pregnancy, birth, miscarriage, and menopause."
