Specializing in High Performance Building Design The firm was launched in the fall of 2015 to provide Architecture services in Saskatchewan that are focused towards Ecological and Sustainable design principles. One of our key environmental concerns is to reduce CO2 emissions for all buildings designed by the office. The Passive House or PassivHaus approach has been adopted as the most reliable standard in achieving energy efficiency in new buildings and existing building retrofits. We incorporate all or many of these low carbon design principles into residential dwellings, commercial, educational and institutional buildings. Layne Arthur was also the first architect in Saskatchewan to be certified as a ‘Certified Passive House Designer’ with the Passive House Institute in Germany.
