Dougie Mac

www.dougiemac.org.uk

Every year, Dougie Mac provides all hospice services free of charge to over 3,500 local people with life-limiting illnesses in Stoke-on-Trent, North Staffordshire and the surrounding villages; also offering supportive care for their families and carers. Following the amalgamation in March 2021 of children’s hospice The Donna Louise Trust into Dougie Mac, our care now takes place across two sites in Blurton and Trentham as well as out in the local community. Our mission statement is simple… to deliver excellent care to people approaching end of life. We help people living with cancer and non-cancer life-limiting illnesses including advanced heart failure, dementia, motor neurone disease and incurable lung diseases as well as giving supportive care to their families and carers. We would not be able to provide this vital care and support without the commitment of a multi-disciplinary team of staff and volunteers as well as our dedicated local supporters. To allow the hospice to continue providing priceless care, free of charge the hospice needs to raise in excess of £15million this year, with 80% of the money raised coming from voluntary donations.
