ReCity Network
www.recitynetwork.orgReCity Network is a bold venture, serving as a catalyst for innovation and collaboration among non-profits, mission-driven businesses, and faith-based organizations. As Durham’s hub for social impact, ReCity features a 12,000-square-foot, multi-purpose space designed for co-working, meetings, and community events. We now offer a powerful Digital Membership for nonprofit leaders! At the heart of ReCity’s mission is a desire for the organization to be a connecting force-multiplier for the hundreds of service providers working to solve problems at systemic and individual levels. Together, with shared mission and shared impact, the members of ReCity Network are expanding opportunities for Durham’s youth and families, as well as addressing systemic challenges in the community. The collaborative, community-based solutions that arise will leave the Bull City poised for a new generation of shared success. Our Story: Non-profit and church leaders in the Durham area came together to envision the ReCity concept in 2014 as a youth employment incubator. Formally launched in September 2016, ReCity Network quickly attracted more than three dozen non-profits, faith-based organizations, and mission-driven businesses to tackle the city-wide challenge of youth disconnection. As organizations have connected and collaborated on the systemic issues leading to scores of disconnected youth in an otherwise thriving city, ReCity Network has expanded its mission to become the social impact hub based in the heart of the Bull City. With 12,000 square feet of space dedicated to co-working, meetings, and community events, the network is now a catalyst for good, with members solving problems related to race, gender, wealth, and opportunity. Shared space and shared impact—that’s the power of ReCity Network, a place created to help the underserved thrive while promoting efficiency, innovation, collaboration, and inspiration among hardworking organizations in the Durham community.
