SMTA is comprised of independent music teachers in the greater Seattle area with many educational interests and varying backgrounds. SMTA is the Seattle chapter of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA). Members of these organizations belong to a welcoming group of teachers who are constantly striving to develop and improve the quality of music for themselves and the students they teach. Members of SMTA have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of programs and take advantage of resources to help teachers at every stage of development.
