Fort Collins Baseball Club is a private non profit organization which has served Fort Collins and the surrounding area since 1961. FCBC has over 250 teams with a total enrollment of more than 3300 players, ranging in age from 5-18yrs participate in spring, summer, fall and winter indoor leagues. Some teams, play competitively in our Rookie League and Select Divisions with more playing in our High School American Legion Program. The bulk of the FCBC Club however, continues to emphasize the fundamental importance of recreational baseball, not only as a feeder to these competitive teams, but also as an essential source of alternative summer and fall recreation for our young people. In keeping up with the tremendous demand for fields, FCBC has become a leader in field construction and joint city and school district projects to this end. In 1993 FCBC completed the Boltz Field Project resulting in the construction of 2 new fields at a local junior high. With additional cooperation between the city and school district in 1995, three new fields were constructed at Lincoln Jr. High and one at Timnath Elementary. Walt Weiss Field and Larry Walker Field are two of the last to be built through a grant with the Colorado Rockies and the McCormick Tribune Foundation. FCBC continues to promote a pro-active approach to working with the private and public sectors in providing more recreation opportunities for our youth.
