I try to think photography not as capturing a moment of reality, but as an art form. I can’t draw or paint, act or sing. This is my art. I can never tell if people really like my work or if they are being kind, but the work gives me pleasure so that is enough. In fact, if I ever tried to define art, that’s probably as good a definition as I could come up with. When not taking photos, I am a father, husband, and structural engineer. My work affords me unique access to great buildings and the opportunity to make great photographs.
