Our Mission To provide, with dignity, emergency food and outreach to thousands of at-risk neighbors in southern Rhode Island and surrounding communities. Here at Rhode Island Center Assisting those in Need all donations and Thrift store sales support our Food Pantry. Over 300,000 lbs. of Food distributed yearly. We are proud to be a 97% volunteer run center. Rhode Island Center Assisting those in Need (RI CAN) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization providing emergency food, clothing, and other vital supports to neighbors in crisis throughout the state, primarily in Washington County and surrounding areas.
