The University of New Mexico Medical Group, Inc. (UNMMG) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation in Albuquerque, NM, organized in 2007 and is comprised of over 900 clinical practitioners, representing 152 specialties who are the exclusive caregivers to the state’s only academic medical center- UNM Hospital. UNMMG employs 300+ administrative support professionals who perform professional billing and collections, oversee outpatient clinics, contract with payers, recruit locum tenens, ensure quality and compliance, facilitate strategic planning/business development, and maintain the human resources, finance and information technology infrastructure for the medical group. VISION UNMMG strives to be a national leader in the delivery of high quality and innovative academic medicine. MISSION To provide an innovative, flexible and efficient faculty practice organization supporting excellence in the clinical, education and research missions of the UNM School of Medicine to improve the health of all New Mexicans.
