Berkshire County Kids’ Place is a Children’s Advocacy Center that provides an interdisciplinary, cooperative team approach to address the needs of children subjected to violence as victims or as witnesses and to their non-offending family members. The agency provides a safe, caring, home-like atmosphere that coordinates the combined knowledge of law enforcement, child protection, medical, prosecutorial, and mental health agencies to ensure an effective response to childhood trauma. Kids’ Place offers a safe, child-friendly environment for forensic interviews and medical evaluations of the child victim, and on-going support for the child and non-offending family.
