Founded in 1950, the Abilene Philharmonic is one of Abilene’s most established performing arts organizations. We perform four Masterworks and three Pops concerts every season. In addition to our performance schedule, we offer many educational programs and opportunities, including the Abilene Youth Orchestra, Nelda Hodges Young Artist Competition, Discover Music Children's Concerts, masterclasses with guest artists, and Baby Music of Abilene.
