Originally specialising in event photography - mostly music, with some dance and theatre - using available light, APWS Photography has expanded into portraiture and film. Adam PW Smith has directed and film videos for The Dreadnoughts and The Sojourners, and produced a number of short, behind-the-scenes projects, with many more currently in production. Still recognised for his ability to shoot using available and low light, for being able to photograph and film in busy environments without disruption, Smith's reputation continues to expand. He also wrote a book about his experiences touring with The Dreadnoughts during their 2009 European tour - "This Place Is Awesome."
