(SLA) is a regionally respected multipurpose 501(c) (3) non-profit organization which has been providing multi-faceted services for seventeen years to area residents in northern New Jersey as well as the five Boroughs of New York City. SLA has partnered with national corporations, local, state and federal governmental agencies in addition, to social service non-profit organizations. SLA’s mission is to facilitate and expedite the assimilation of Hispanics and other minorities into mainstream American society, with a primary focus to increase their access to healthcare and education. LA seeks to serve as a catalyst in healthcare, by providing a wide spectrum of health resources to the medically under-served in the major municipalities of New Jersey, as well as the five Boroughs of New York City. Our target audience is low to moderate income residents who are uninsured, under0insured and under-served. Collaborators: Hudson County CDBG, Hoboken Family Planning, Palisades Medical Center, New Jersey Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired, Carepoint Health, Metropolitan Family Health Network, American Diabetes Association, Holy Name Hospital, Barnabas Health , Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, and St. Michael’s Hospital of Newark.
