Artworks, Trenton’s downtown visual arts center, has the mission of connectiong community, culture and creativity through the arts. Our exhibitions, events and programs make art an accessible experience for all. With this mission, our goal is to provide opportunities for creative expression, connections and understanding among and between art students of all ages, professional and amateur artists, inner city and suburban residents, diehard art fans and first time art appreciators. Artworks carries out its mission with year-round programming including: Art All Night; Art All Day, a city-wide open studio and public art tour; Art Making Day, a day of artistic creation; a full schedule of exhibitions, and Art Lab, a special project room that features one-month project-based residencies. Adult and youth education workshops, art classes and activities, including open studio sessions, are offered by Artworks throughout the year.
