Essential has been providing its experiences through an (inter)national network of over 10 indoor and outdoor event locations, 6 municipalities, 12 brands (which are the intellectual property of Essential) and has market presence in three European countries. Essential is active within the Meuse–Rhine Euroregion (Dutch: Euregio Maas–Rijn, French: Eurorégion Meuse–Rhin, German: Euregio Maas–Rhein) area. The company was founded by Alain Bosten, Gaston Bosten and Kenny Mordang in 2012. They are still in charge of the day-to-day management and have overseen the expansion the company has undergone growing from 1.700 visitors and in 2012 to 24.000 visitors in 2017. The expansion of activities is based on autonomous growth and has resulted in a significant growth of turnover since the company was founded in 2012.
