BioCNG, LLC provides a patent-pending conditioning system that economically produces upgraded biogas to be used as CNG (BioCNG™) to fuel vehicles - or for use in electric and thermal energy generation. The system is commercially available and operational at four locations, fueling fleet vehicles on CNG produced from landfill gas, wastewater treatment plant gas, and organics digester biogas. The basic BioCNG™ system is modular in nature and built to be economical at small scale. The system can process any amount of biogas available, however, the standard skid-mounted units are for 50, 100 and 200 scfm of biogas to produce between 200 to 1,000 gasoline gallon equivalents (GGE) of BioCNG per day. BioCNG™ is produced by removing moisture, contaminants and CO2 from raw biogas, leaving a product gas that is 92-98% methane. After cleaning and conditioning, BioCNG™ fuel meets SAE J1616 and engine manufacturers’ fuel specifications. It can be used directly or mixed with natural gas to produce a blended vehicle fuel.
