PCSS: Educate, Train, Mentor
www.pcssnow.orgWhy PCSS? Because you are a healthcare professional who wants to learn the skills you need to treat the complex disease of opioid use disorder that is killing far too many people in your community. You want to treat your patients using current, evidence-based treatments available. You want to know how to prevent, identify, and treat patients with opioid use disorder. PCSS is a federal training and clinical coaching project created to address the opioid crisis. Led by the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry, PCSS is a coalition of major healthcare organizations, dedicated to combating the opioid crisis. It provides free trainings to primary care providers in the treatment of pain and substance use disorders, particularly opioid use disorders. Funding for this initiative was made possible (in part) by grant no. 6H79TI081968 from SAMHSA. The views expressed in written conference materials or publications and by speakers and moderators do not necessarily reflect the official policies of the Department of Health and Human Services; nor does mention of trade names, commercial practices, or organizations imply endorsement by the U.S. Government.
