Teachers Who TECH supports the development of an interdisciplinary curriculum using both Project-Based Learning and Design Thinking frameworks. Teachers and students who participate in our programs develop and reinforce problem-solving skills and abilities that the education of the 21st century requires. Programs Teachers Who TECH: K-12 Teacher Professional Development We offers training workshops for elementary,middle and high school teachers. In our workshops, teachers learn to design interdisciplinary projects that later will be align with the national curriculum. Our focus workshops attend specific needs of an educational institution. The creation and use of rubrics, application of Design Thinking, and creation of Maker Spaces are some examples of our focus workshops. Teachers Who TECH: Interdisciplinary Programs We create extracurricular programs focused on the idea of learning by making. Students will create prototypes of guitars, masks, robotic hands and more using simple materials such as cardboard, aluminum foil, and tape. Our interactive clubs support personal and collaborative growth as well as drive student creativity and innovation. Collaboration We have collaborated with: - GeekGirlCon - Sportslab - Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI) - Westside School Teachers Who TECH International We are constantly developing curriculum for international schools and districts. In 2016, we had our first international workshop in Ecuador. In January 2017, we worked with the Dongheng District - China. We created three STEAM Projects for 1200 students from 2nd to 7th grade. In March 2017, Teachers Who TECH guided two 5 days STEAM Professional Development in the Chaoyang District - China. 70 teaches participated in these PDs. In October 2017, we had five 2 days Professional Development in Ecuador. More than 200 teachers from Quito, Ibarra and Joya de los Sachas participated in these PDs.
