Ball State University Dance Marathon (BSUDM) was originally founded as a philanthropic event in support of Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health in 2003 by Phi Mu and Sigma Alpha Epsilon. In 2008, both chapters decided that BSUDM would best thrive as a student organization. Since becoming a student organization, BSUDM has seen unprecedented growth in both student participation and fundraising efforts. Since 2008, BSUDM has raised over $4.3 million to support the Palliative Care Team and the Magic Castle Cart at Riley Hospital for Children.
