Animal Aid strives to provide excellence in Animal Welfare by ensuring the animals and people we care for receive the best possible outcomes. We are an open door shelter, primarily providing support for dogs, cats, small livestock and pocket pets (guinea pigs and rabbits). This involves: caring for surrendered, abandoned and lost animals, reuniting animals with their rightful owners, providing exemplary adoption services and on-site veterinary care. Animal Aid is unique in that our staff and volunteers will support an animal until it is ready for adoption, until it can overcome any issues it may have. This takes place through veterinary care, behavioural training and rehabilitation. We want to ensure that when an animal leaves Animal Aid with its new family, it never becomes homeless again. We give animals the time they need to heal.
