As a non-profit, state accredited prevention, intervention, and outpatient counseling agency, Lifeways, Inc. provides school-based services to the Rapid City and Custer Area School District. Since 2002, Lifeways has been inspiring teens to become successful, find their way and live a life free of drug and alcohol abuse. We help rebuild relationships and communication between teens and their parents. We educate teens on how to handle stress in a constructive way. We help teens set goals and figure out how to achieve them. We help kids find what makes them passionate. We motivate our community’s youth to BE THE CHANGE they want to see in the world! By figuring out what makes them tick, by defining what can help spark a fire within them, students become empowered to make good decisions for bright futures. Awareness of our mission is conducted through classroom education, assessments, screenings, referrals, group education opportunities, social activities and peer led groups, treatment need assessments, outpatient counseling and coalition events.
