About SmartSea Technologies The products developed by SmartSea Technologies enhance our users' boating experience by distributing nautical content to thousands of sailors and power boaters all over the world, and by providing the latest technology to their mobile devices. SmartSea was created as the result of the merger between BlooSee (US) and SmartPort (Spain). Our goal is to create new boating experiences by developing disruptive products that integrate the Silicon Valley vision and which are "made in Barcelona". Our first product, the SmartSea app, helps boaters by providing detailed information and easy online access to all marinas located on the coasts and waterways of Spain. This application helps keep users up to date with relevant nautical information, and simplify logistic decisions so they can fully enjoy their next destination and boating adventure. Our next product, currently in the works, involves answering the challenge to create the first mobile electronic cruising guide that integrates technology, to create a truly smart boating experience. The company is headquartered in Barcelona and has offices in Palma de Mallorca. SmartSea has recently won several awards, including IMPACT Accelerator, StartupBIT Awards and Barcelona Developers. It was selected as final player on App Circus Madrid and Wayra Telefónica.
