An American dance music label specializing in the soulful house sound and committed to producing excellent rhythmic soul audio productions. Quantize Recordings was started in 2008 by label boss dj/producer DJ Spen. After working exclusively in radio and music production since the mid-1980s, DJ Spen's musical roots were firmly established when he founded Quantize Recordings with co-founder Thommy Davis. As songwriter, producer, or remixer, DJ Spen has been the creative force behind hundreds of dance music productions and is now committed to utilizing Quantize as a vehicle to help producers release their music on an international platform. In 2012, Quantize established its sub-label "Unquantize" to focus on house music with more of an underground sound. Since its inception, the Quantize (including Unquantize) catalog has grown to over 600 releases including singles, LPs and compilations from artists such as Timmy Regisford, Barbara Tucker, Ann Nesby, Tracy Hamlin, Sheila Ford, and Tasha LaRae (formerly of Arrested Development).
