The practice has been in existence for over 100 years and was carried out from three surgeries in Hemsworth. The practice buildings were wooden huts until 1967 when a purpose-built surgery was built in Highfield Road, Hemsworth. We soon outgrew this building and moved to our current site in 1980. The surgery was extended in 1993 to provide additional patient care facilities, a larger waiting room and more office space. In March 1996 our new therapy unit was opened, providing dedicated facilities for physiotherapy, including exercise equipment, heat therapy and hydrotherapy. The new two-storey building also accommodates our practice and community nurses, and provides facilities for staff training and seminars.
