Jannet Butzinger is an American, Heidelberg- based Innenarchitektin/Interior designer. Drawing inspiration from her southern Texas roots and living in California, Jannet weaves gracious southern charm with the coast’s organic simplicity into her clients' interiors, while creating individualized spaces that suit her client’s personal style and desires. Her aesthetic is timeless and sophisticated while grasping an essence of modernity. Her approach to design emphasises the simple and often overlooked notion that a home should reflect the personalities of the people living in it, showcasing the things they love and have collected over time. Jannet’s appreciation for design began at a very early age. Growing up in Texas, as a young girl Jannet worked during a vacation for a builder sweeping out homes before the flooring was installed and dreamt of the possibilities for each room. Then moving to California with her family she developed a love for simple natural beauty. Having lived in Germany and Austria as a teenager she acquired a love of European chic and was caught with the travel bug. After graduating from the University of Texas, Jannet moved back to southern California and worked for an architectural and interior design firm and then opened her own interior design firm in San Diego and spent the next 11 years designing residences, restaurant, doctors offices, and military facilities.
