AHE semi-rotary actuators provide torques for a wide range of industrial applications around the world - from transportation, cargo handling and automation to food processing and medical equipment. HVA drives are compact, durable and easy to maintain. Our vane actuators operate with hydraulic pressure applied to the shaft-mounted vanes to produce higher torque than pneumatic applications. In both types, a closed chamber is created on each side of the vane. When a chamber is pressurized with hydraulic or pneumatic pressure, the shaft rotates in the appropriate direction. When determining the best actuator type for a particular task, there are several factors to consider, such as: The available space, the expected performance (depending on the working angle, the predicted life cycle, and ease of maintenance) as well as the required force and the displacement.
