Established in 2019 under the Council for Economic and Development Affairs (CEDA), the NCC forms an integral component of the arsenal of reforms that the Kingdom has put in place to support Vision 2030, the Kingdom’s flagship national development strategy. The Center reflects the vision of HRH Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman and his commitment to structural reforms of the economy. At the heart of these reforms is an integrated set of policies and programs to diversify economic activities, promote investment, expand the role of the private sector, empower young men and women to create their own businesses, strengthen human capital, and leapfrog development through the promotion of research, development and innovation. The Kingdom offers several competitive advantages for investors, businesses, innovators and entrepreneurs including a youthful population, strong purchasing power, free trade-agreements with major markets, a robust infrastructure and logistics networks, rich natural resources, a strategic geographic location, a sophisticated capital market, and, more importantly, political commitment at the top leadership for a probusiness, pro-investment, and pro-trade economic agenda. Saudi Arabia is the largest economy in the Middle East and North Africa, and a G20 member. Through institutional and regulatory reform, the government will unleash the power of private investment, innovation and entrepreneurship to drive economic growth and job creation, and improve the standards of living of the population.
