Oracle Power PLC, formerly Oracle Coalfields PLC, is a United Kingdom-based company involved in the exploration for and development of coal in Pakistan. The Company is principally engaged in the development of lignite coal resources in Block VI in the Thar desert, in the Sindh province in Pakistan, through an open-pit mine supplying a mine-mouth power plant. The Thar Coalfield is located approximately 380 kilometers from Karachi. The Company's primary interest, the Thar Coalfield Block VI area, is located in the center of the Thar coalfield and covers an area of approximately 66.1 square kilometers. The Thar Coalfield Block VI area has approximately 1.4 billion tons resource with approximately 529 million tons Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) mineral resource and over 113 million tons JORC reserves within Phase I of the mining area of its mining lease.
