Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy
www.hbha.eduThe mission of Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy is "We are a diverse community, united through our shared tradition, culture, and the values of the Torah. We strive to cultivate a generation of Jewish independent and ethical thinkers, determined to reach their greatest potential and have a positive impact on our people and the world." To accomplish this mission, Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy strives to maximize the personal, intellectual and spiritual development of each student by providing excellent general and Jewish instruction in a nurturing Jewish environment. We are the only Jewish Day School in Kansas and serve families in the greater Kansas City metro area. We were founded in 1966 by a group of parents who felt strongly about having a Jewish day school education for their children. When the Jewish Community Campus building opened in 1988, HBHA moved into the new Campus facility, where it resides today. We serve grades K-12, and take a whole-child approach to teaching our students: developing and maintaining a curriculum that teaches beyond the test to give students what they need to create a path to their own lifetime of success.
