The festival celebrates the wealth of female comedic talent on the international comedy scene. The festival stages more than 60 events across various different venues around Manchester. Described as one of ‘the UK’s best comedy festivals’ The Skinny, Greater Manchester’s Women In Comedy Festival is Europes only comedy festival dedicated to gender equality. ‘It’s a very positive event, attracting massive headline acts.’ (Manchester Evening News) Its success has attracted notable patrons such as Bolton born actor Maxine Peake, Funny Women’s Lynne Parker, and comedians Jo Enright, Issy Suttie.
