Advanced investigation training on the topics of child abuse and sexual assault, taught from the perspective of a veteran police detective. Classes have been held at colleges, police academies and conferences throughout the State of Michigan. Audiences have included police officers, detectives, prosecutors, child protective service workers, college students and child advocacy center staff. Some of the topics covered include: investigating the child molester, child death & homicide investigation, physical child abuse including how to differentiate between intentional & accidental injuries, adult sexual assault investigations, sex offender typologies, strategies for interviewing the sex offender and investigating the serial offender.
