FINDING THE WILL
www.findingthewill.comFINDING THE WILL offers interactive workshops on the most popular plays of Shakespeare to Primary, Secondary and Special Schools nationally. The level of knowledge of the play is immaterial, in fact for KS1 & KS2 we actively encourage teachers not to tell the children anything about the play until after our visit. We take them through the play with the children acting out all the parts so that by the end of the session the story, principal characters and main themes of the play have been explored. Under normal circumstances we can also offer a Shakespeare Project Week which culminates in the children's own performance of the chosen play. However this is product is currently suspended because of Covid-19 restrictions. As a theatre company FINDING THE WILL also offers its own show 'Bard Heads' which consists of two monologues (out of a possible six) exploring what may have happened next to certain characters in six of the most popular plays: Hermia (A Midsummer Night's Dream); Malvolio (Twelfth Night); Osric (Hamlet); The Third Witch From The Left (Macbeth); Friar Laurence (Romeo & Juliet) and Miranda (The Tempest). Each monologue is full of humour, pathos, human emotion and some real surprises. It is aimed at adults and KS4 upwards and is available for Rural Arts Touring, small to mid-scale touring venues and Literary and Arts Festivals. NAMING THE VIEW is a two hander loosely based on The Taming Of The Shrew exploring life, recovery and hope after 30 years of being in a coercive controlled, domestic abusive relationship.https://youtu.be/C4Sqd-Ls43o
