Infrastructure, Planning and Facilities (IPF) is one of the largest departments at Michigan State University. From plumbers, electricians and arborists to architects, carpenters and custodians, our experienced team of over 1,000 professionals keeps MSU running 24/7, 365 days a year. We oversee the university's power plant, maintain more than 5,200 acres of campus landscape and over 24 million square feet of indoor space, and lead the university in facilities planning and stewardship that provides Spartans with an exceptional environment in which to work, research and learn.
