COLDINNOV

www.coldinnov.com

An innovative greentech company, COLDINNOV is developing two key fields of renewable cold production: • Our main activity is the development of a breakthrough innovation to produce sustainable cold by means of a thermochemical solid / gas reaction. Our patented technology thus makes it possible to produce cold by using waste heats from various sources including industry, agriculture or the tertiary sector, transportation (on land, sea or rail) or even renewable sources (solar thermal …). • On the other hand, COLDINNOV designs, manufactures and markets autonomous solar photovoltaic cooling units under the FREECOLD brand. Our range extends from the fridge to the milk tank and the cold room, and allows access to refrigeration even in areas not connected to the electricity grid. Our solution: drawing cooling from waste heat The technology developed and patented by COLDINNOV is based on a thermochemical solid / gas adsorption reactionusing ammonia. It is a natural refrigerant, with no effect on global warming and the ozone layer, unlike the CFC gases used today. This solution is an alternative to conventional compression refrigeration which: • represents 15% of global electricity consumption • uses refrigerant fluids which are harmful to the ozone layer and increase global warming COLDINNOV solutions mitigate the impact of refrigeration and cooling on the environment by improving energy efficiency and recovering waste heats. COLDINNOV’s innovation also lies in the adaptability of the technology to several power scales as well as to different energy vectors as the main source of heat. This allows to develop a wide range of applications in static cooling as well as in mobile refrigeration. More information on www.coldinnov.com
