Freier Verband Deutscher Zahnärzte e. V. (e Free Association of German Dentists) is based in Mallwitzstra0e 16, 53177 Bonn, Germany. With more than 20,000 members, the Free Association of German Dentists [Freier Verband Deutscher Zahnärzte, FVDZ] is the largest independent dental association in Germany. The FVDZ is politically independent and is committed to therapeutic freedom, openness to modern dental treatment methods for all patients, encouragement of prophylaxis, greater responsibility self-determination for patients and dentists and solid financing of dentistry. The FVDZ is focused on the future – and therefore believes its mission also involves responding to changing conditions and developing alternative options for action for dentists as part of future-oriented healthcare. The FVDZ also pursues its aims in the interest of its members – and not just on a national level. Internationally, the FVDZ is also committed to self-employment and represents German dentists at the FDI World Dental Federation and its European regional organization, ERO, and numerous other international organizations.
